Today I'm Crabby

Today I'm crabby
And, though nothing has changed, I feel unattractive.

And through it all
Weave the ghosts of funerals past

The scale says 168 pounds
The concave brain says several hundred at least

And I know once again
It's time to remember the past with every cell of the body

And in time, eventually
Each cell remember to start breathing again.
