Imagine A Sunset

Imagine a sunset, one of those red to purple ones,
But now it's way past that and it's dark cherry for a moment.

Half of what you can see is water, usually a deep blue
But now reflecting transparent burgundy ... or currant,

The other half is mostly dark green forest and black rock,
But now, of course, only shadows ... with dark red highlights.

Anyway ... that's my mood ... that's my serenity.
A mood filled past twilight, peaceful.

And ... oh yes ... there are stars in this picture,
but that are not as near as you, and

They do not shine nearly so brightly in my heart.
A picture ... it makes me smile, but I don't understand it.
